Juventus coach between 2015 and 2019, Massimiliano Allegri, who still remains without a club, suggested the departure of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo during his time in Turin. The revelation was made on Tuesday (13) by the newspaper “La Repubblica”, from Italy.
According to the vehicle, in the last meeting he had with Andrea Agnelli, current president of Juve, the 53-year-old coach told the manager that CR7 needed to leave the team, since he would be “blocking the growth” of the same. In the end, Allegri himself was sent away.
“Get rid of (Cristiano) Ronaldo. He is blocking the growth of the team and the club”, would have been the words of the former coach of the Old Lady to Agnelli. “La Repubblica” also recalled that, at the time, despite having won five consecutive Italian Championship titles with the Turin team, Allegri was not taken seriously because of Cristiano Ronaldo’s good phase.
