Argentine striker Higuaín must follow the same path as French midfielder Matuidi and swap Juventus for Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami in the United States. The information was disseminated by different vehicles in Italy, such as the broadcaster “Sky Sports”, and the newspapers “Gazzetta dello Sport” and “TuttoSport”.
Higuaín, who turns 33 in October, has a contract with Juve until June 2021 but is not in the plans of coach Andrea Pirlo. According to the information in the Italian press, he agreed to terminate with the Italian team and will receive about 4 million euros, which corresponds to half of the gains he would have had if the bond was fulfilled until the end.
The Argentine is expected to sign by the end of 2022 with Inter Miami, the club of former player David Beckham who is in his debut season in the MLS, the largest football league in the United States. There, he should earn 7.5 million euros a year.
